Lanfranco Bombelli Tiravanti, (Milano 1921 – Cadaqués 2008) studied Architecture in his hometown and Zurich. There he was part of the pioneers of concrete art with the Allianz group and artists Bruno Munari, Max Huber and Lohse. His art of geometric compositions is based on minimal plastic means, and inspired by mathematical principles. From 1950, he began working in Paris with Peter Harnden as an architect of commercial pavilions for the American government.
 
At the beginning of the 60s he chose Barcelona and Cadaqués as the headquarter from which he directed his architecture workshop, where he carried out considerably numerous projects in private architecture in Cadaqués, including this house, of which its austerity and functionality stands out.
 
Founder of the Cadaqués Gallery, he brought for the first time in Spain works of art by international avant-garde artists such as Max Bill, Marcel Duchamp, Jasper Johns or Richard Hamilton. He was also a pioneer in exhibiting photography, with authors such as Man Ray or Robert Capa, architecture -Mies van der Rohe or Isozaki- and also design.
