So if it's not Dalí's house, whose is it?
The painter Eliseu Meifrén i Roig (Barcelona1859) moved with his family to Cadaqués in 1886. In 1911 he was adopted as the village's predilct son due to his friendship with locals.
The following year he acquired this house where he spent long stays in the middle of multiple trips abroad to attend art exhibitions until almost the year of his death in 1940.

Abandoned, the house collapsed and was swallowed up by the forest. It was not until 1998 that these ruins were discovered and the reconstruction process could begin from these two photographs and two other works by the same artist, in order to guarantee its original shape.
